This was a fairly damp day for a hike and we got drizzled on for a good portion of the hike! Lots of mud, puddles and water to tromp through and over! Lots of fun none the less!
Plenty of parking at the trail head....and one other car in the parking lot, besides the 3 families that I hiked with, when we arrived at 11:30am.
Lots of great information about the history of the trail and plants and animals that live in the area on the information board at the trail head...including info about sasquatch sitings.... :-D
You arrive at the lime kiln about 3 miles from the trailhead. Lots of artifacts to see - including bricks, old pottery pieces, a boot piece, some old metal equipment, and more... We ate lunch here.
About .7 miles past the kiln is a great access point to the river....it is really pretty on this section of the trail.
